Student Research and Knowledge Mobilization Awards

These grants provide funds for research equipment and/or support to attend conferences or workshops. Undergraduates can apply for a maximum amount of $500. Graduate and post-doctoral students can apply for a maximum amount of $1,000.

Application Process

To apply, the applicant will submit the following. A completed application package includes:

• WinS Knowledge Mobilization Awards Application 2026.
• Knowledge mobilization budget form (PDF).*
• CV.*
• Unofficial transcript of grades.*
• A one page research statement that provides a brief history of your past research experience, the current state of your research, and the future work you intend to complete.*
• A letter of reference.**

*Applicants can upload their knowledge mobilization form, CV, transcript, and research statement in Qualtrics as they complete the award application.

**The letter of reference should be submitted to Dr. Shohini Ghose via email at wins@wlu.ca directly by the referee.
